Crimp vials are also used for samples in which chain-of-custody or tamper-proof closures are required. 2 mL crimp top vials are manufactured from type 1 borosilicate glass. The high-quality material has very low metal content to help avoid sample deterioration or leaching. Precisely shaped bottlenecks increase autosampler throughput. Made of PTFE/silicone fusion, this septum has excellent inertness and can be used for multiple injections.
