Screw and Crimp Top Headspace Vial,Which One Do You Need?

The biggest difference is that the caliber of Headspace Vial is divided into Screw Top and Crimp Top, and different calibers can be divided into Headspace Vial of different sizes. This article will introduce the difference between Screw Top and Crimp Top.

The first is the 18mm Screw Thread Headspace Vial, which uses 5.0 type borosilicate hydrochloric acid glass, which has low inertness and does not easily react with the reagents in the vial. The capacity is divided into two types: 10ml and 20ml. The 10ml Headspace Vial specification is 22.5*46mm, and the 20ml Headspace Vial specification is 22.5*75mm.

There are two types of 18mm Screw Thread Headspace Vial glass, amber glass and clear glass. Amber glass can protect the light-sensitive object from being exposed to sunlight. The clear glass can clearly see the change of the test object in the vial. The 18mm Screw Thread Headspace Vial is round bottom.

 

The second is 20mm Crimp Top Headspace Vial. The glass material is the same borosilicate glass, but it is divided into 5.0 type and 7.0 type. Customers can choose according to their needs. 5.0type has two colors, clear and amber. 7.0type is only clear.

The 20mm Crimp Top Headspace Vial is available in 6ml, 10ml and 20ml capacities. The specification of 6ml is 22*38mm, the specification of 10ml is 22.5*46mm, and the specification of 20ml is 22.5*75mm. Generally speaking, the error does not exceed 5mm. In addition, 20mm Crimp Top Headspace Vial can choose flat or round bottom.
