Description

A headspace vial is used in the process of top – gas chromatography. When detecting volatile or semi-volatile mixtures with high boiling points, we need to heat them to vaporize them at the top. In this process, since the liquid samples are at the bottom, the material in the top gas can be measured without touching the liquid in the sample vial.

The material of Headspace Vials is low extractable Borosilicate glass with low expansion rate, high-temperature resistance, high strength, high hardness, high light transmittance and high chemical stability. Headspace Vials suitable for headspace analysis of volatile solids and gases.

Aijiren Tech headspace vials are manufactured to provide uniform glass thickness which insures even heat distribution for consistent sampling reliability. All Aijiren Tech headspace vials meet or exceed OEM instrument manufacturer’s specifications. Aijiren Tech vials are available in 6ml, 10ml, 20ml versions with Screw and Crimp type.

20ml Screw Headspace Vial Features

1. 20ml precision screw headspace vial, 18mm, round bottom, top space vial, strong adsorption

2. The 20ml precision threaded headspace vial is used for the threaded vial (20ml) and magnetic screw cap of CTC and TriPlus autosampler.

3. It is convenient to use and does not require any additional tools such as capper and decapper.

4. The sample is available on site Transfer, no need to transfer samples in the laboratory.

5. The precise screw thread ensures the air tightness between the vial and the cap.

6. The magnetic screw cap can be widely used in various SPME and headspace analysis.

7. The round bottom vial is stronger, has higher pressure tolerance when the sample bottle is heated, and is easier to slide into the heating hole.

20ml Crimp Headspace Vials Features

1. 20mm crimp headspace vial is widely used in Headspace and GC, GCMS application.

2. 20mm Aluminum Crimp Cap Seals and Vials ensure that a proper seal is made for this demanding application

3. Vials are manufactured of borosilicate glass and include a write-in patch for sample identification.

4. Caps are made of high quality laquered aluminum, 0.010" thick

5. Cap colors are available in silver only

6. Many septa options are available and use only the highest quality materials to ensure proper function and can be pre-slit to ease needle penetration

7. 0.120" Natural Silicone with 0.005" Natural PTFE. Designed for highly demanding volatile analyses (Headspace) up to a maximum of 200C

8. High quality silicone compounds are used to ensure proper re-sealing and reduced chances of coring

9. Septa is pre-conditioned to ensure low bleed

10. Absence of pigments eliminates additional sources of contamination

Flat bottom vials maximize heating efficiency when used with bottom

Round bottom vials distribute the internal pressure created at high temperatures across the glass surface

Round bottom vials are more easily handled by robotic arms that lift the vial from the tray

A rounded bottom is more sturdy and thus more resistant to the high pressure within the vial during the heating process. Furthermore the vial slides more easily into the heating block when being transported by a magnet.

A flat bottom might be necessary when vials have to run within the instrument on a slightly downwards tendency.

Round bottom vials are designed for Perkin Elmer™, Tekmar™ and Varian™ units
