Engineered from premium USP Type I borosilicate glass 3.3, these GL45 media bottles are built to withstand rigorous thermal cycles and aggressive chemical environments. The linerless PP pour ring ensures drip-free dispensing, while the permanent, high-contrast white enamel graduations provide long-term legibility during media formulation and sterilization.

Available in both ultra-clear glass for high visibility and amber tinted glass for light-sensitive compounds (protecting wavelengths below 500nm). The thick-walled construction enhances mechanical stability, minimizing the risk of breakage during transport, autoclaving, or vacuum applications in demanding laboratory and industrial workflows.

Are the GL45 media bottles fully autoclavable? Can I autoclave them with the caps screwed tight?

Yes, both the 3.3 borosilicate glass bottles and the polypropylene (PP) caps are fully autoclavable at 121℃ or 134℃. However, always loosen the screw caps before autoclaving to prevent pressure buildup and potential thermal breakage due to vacuum generation during cooling.

What is the maximum UV wavelength protection offered by your amber reagent bottles?

Our amber borosilicate glass reagent bottles offer highly effective UV spectral protection, absorbing actinic and ultraviolet light wavelengths up to 500nm. This makes them ideal for storing light-sensitive biological compounds, vitamins, chemical reagents, and enzymes.

The standard blue caps and drip-free pouring rings are manufactured from high-purity Polypropylene (PP), which provides excellent resistance to most acids, bases, and alcohols. For aggressive organic solvents like THF or HPLC-grade chemicals, we recommend upgrading to our premium PBT/PTFE caps.
