Our high-temperature GC septa undergo an advanced thermal pre-conditioning process during manufacturing. This eliminates trace volatile residues beforehand, ensuring ultra-low bleed levels even during continuous operation at 340C to 350C.

    How do I choose between the molded brown septa (GCS03) and the PTFE/Silicone composite septa (GCS201)?

    The GCS03 precision-molded brown septa are optimized for high-temperature auto-injection systems (up to 350C) where extended needle puncture life and excellent resealing are required. The GCS201 Natural PTFE/Red Silicone septa offer a double-layer design where the PTFE face provides absolute chemical inertness against aggressive solvents, making it ideal for trace analysis and highly sensitive GC-MS applications requiring minimal organic background interference.

    Are these GC septa ready for immediate laboratory use, or do they require thermal pre-treatment?

    All models in our high-temperature series (GCS01 through GCS201) are fully pre-conditioned, heavily baked, and hermetically sealed before packaging. No further conditioning or thermal pre-treatment is required in your laboratory. They are ready-to-use straight out of the box without risking contamination or analytical downtime.
