What is the difference between 5.0 and 7.0 expansion glass vials?

5.0 expansion glass offers higher silica content and better chemical durability for aggressive solvents or trace analysis. 7.0 expansion glass is more cost-effective for routine laboratory testing.

Can snap top vials completely replace crimp top vials?

Snap vials offer fast, tool-free capping for routine HPLC/GC analysis. For highly volatile analytes or ultra-long storage, crimp vials still provide a tighter evaporation barrier.

Why are these 1.5mL product configurations designated as 11.6*32mm?

11.6*32mm is the international standard dimension for standard 2mL vials (usable volume is 1.5mL), ensuring a perfect fit into standard autosampler trays and racks.

Will the white "Write-on Spot" interfere with light-sensitive analysis?

No, it is a localized ceramic patch baked on the outer surface. For extreme UV protection, we highly recommend our amber glass models (V1035/V1045).

Do these vials require dedicated snap caps?

Yes. They must be paired with flexible 11mm plastic snap caps and septa. They cannot be used with screw threads or aluminum crimp seals.
